So, who is this guy?
Max Diaz was born in Buffalo, NY in 2000 and has been a resident of Hanahan, SC since he entered seventh grade in 2012. He developed the itch to serve his community in the Scouting Program where he dedicated much of his time to personal growth and community service, eventually becoming an Eagle Scout. Max continued his support of the Scouting Program by becoming an assistant scoutmaster in his old troop and mentoring those who came after him.
After graduating from Hanahan High School in 2018 with a focus on Engineering, Max earned his Aircraft Mechanic’s license and an associate degree from Trident Technical College. In 2022, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University earning a bachelor’s degree in aviation technology. Always learning and bettering himself with new knowledge and experiences, Max earned his Private Pilot License in 2023. He has mechanical aviation experience working in the General Aviation, Experimental, Defense, and Commercial sectors of the industry, and has had the privilege of working on many different airframes and engines in his career from fighter jets to airliners to small prop planes.
As far back as middle school, Max has ardently followed news of the political, economic, and societal issues facing America. He has made it a habit to always stay educated on these issues so he could be an informed voter and an informed voice to those around him who do not compulsively monitor our society’s state of affairs. After years of watching and waiting for anything positive or productive to happen in our governing systems, Max came to the conclusion that there were not nearly enough members of government concerned with preparing for the future or solving the day-to-day issues that Americans already endure. Max decided that if he wanted any right to complain about the current state of affairs to the extent that he does, he would have to roll up his sleeves, get his hands dirty, enter the political realm, and become the change that he and others like him seek.
Max is a thoroughly working-class individual, with all of his formal higher education being dedicated to his blue-collar trade. He knows very well what it’s like to look down the line and see that if nothing changes, most working people like himself will struggle mightily to ever afford a home, will certainly never support a family on a single income, can be bankrupted by any major medical condition, and may never afford to retire. Max’s life as a well-informed working-class citizen makes him the ideal candidate to take our issues to Washington and fight for them, tooth and nail.
We working-class Americans are the backbone and lifeblood of our great nation. It’s time the government considered the needs of the many rather than the greed of the few.
